That's great to hear. I hate that kickstand but mayyybee I'll try now what, my 10th case? Thanks for all the reporting back. That's (and everyone else who posts) is what helps threads and people in them like this going towards what they are looking for.



I read in the Amazon reviews for the Supcase that those who had a Monarch Pro that it hands down, no contest, at a fraction of the cost beat it.



Amazon, I'm horrified for anyone that puts it on their phone.

I got a Torras case (with an O ring stand, not rotating) last year for my GS24U, man it looked good, and still does, but it's so dangerous for my phone; because it's too slippery!

I didn't use it much because of that.

Noctua for example only sells in B&M's and as the seller on Amazon, I don't think they even let Amazon be the seller to ensure authenticity.

The difference is that case manufacturer isn't well-known and of good reputation like Noctua. (I almost bought a Noctua CPU cooler but opted for Be Quiet instead, because I didn't like the brown and tan colours of the Noctua. The Be Quiet cooler is black.) Noctua is known as a top-notch CPU cooler brand by most PC builders.

But as for the case definitely recommend people at least avoiding that case if not brand. I only picked it because it worked with glass but in hindsight that wasn't a great idea either because it was the custom size and apparently still didn't fit

It doesnt even come close to laying flat. I thought the images were an optical illusion to emphasize camera protection. For marketing. It's not.

The camera cutout pertrudes a lot further than the case an wobbles more than Granny in her favorite chair.

Tried a UAG Monarch Pro. Going in I knew it was overpriced, actually using it, i felt like a Looney Tunes character running off a cliff and turning into a a sucker. Very thin, no protection hard silicone. The sides have absolutely no protection. The only thing protecting the entire screen is a 2mm thick lip that's flimsy.

It (hopefully not the phone) also made an unsettling snapping sound. Taking it off was the equivalent to a chastity belt with no key. Men In Black's quote "I'm afraid I'm gonna break this damn thing" feels very appropriate for trying to get it off.
Needless to say it wasn't worth the $80 and returned in under 24 hours to the store.

I guess I'll continue to use the Poetic with the stupid camera slide (similar to wnat @X1tymez posted) of which i previously said i gently (if you didn't catch my dry humor) was code for ripped the shutter, <-autocorrect almost got me banned, out.

That said, I'm curious if any of you with a case of any type so far with a recessed camera area are having purple night shot issues too. I'm tired and shouldn't be asleep after 52 hours but here i am, you can find that thread in my post history.

No case today is worth $100. The most expensive case I've seen and tried was UAG Monarch Pro (Carbon, $80) and was a piece of crap. No protection and I heard a cack that better not have been the phone trying to get it out.

More $€£ ≠ Better

I’m guilty of liking the Monarch Pro cases but they are not comfortable with the Ultra phones as that big gaping hole where the s-pen goes is very uncomfortable after a bit. I’m a Spigen fan forever so I get the articles views.
