get rid of empty pages in main screen

Greetings
How do I get rid of empty pages (look like ---- on bottom) on the main page
very easy to open them but I couldn't find a way to remove them

Are you talking about empty homescreens (if you swipe to the left or right) ?

I'm not certain on Touchwiz but if the option is available you would long press on the homescreen and it should bring up homescreen options and if its available you could pick the homescreen you don't want and drag and drop it to trash usually at the top or bottom of the screen.

Otherwise if its not allowed within Touchwiz UI then you may have to turn to a 3rd party launcher to eliminate the extra homescreens but then you also lose some of the Touchwiz functionality which is a big deal to some people.

of course I tried to long press the screen or the - sign on bottom, since this is how I removed apps I didn't want on the main screen.
but I couldn't find any hint in the options.
Maybe it depends on the version of android. I think mine is 4.4.2 but I'm not sure. will check and post again.
Don't know any 3rd party launchers and I trust Samsung's android so far.

Try pinching on the homescreen to get the preview screen where you can add, delete or reorder the screens.
