How can I get rid of a massive Amazon Signin screen on my 2nd home page

I have been a NOTE 2 owner for one hour.... and I'd like to know the same thing!

Yes that's what I did to see if I could remove it that way. Forgot it was there cause I'm using Apex Launcher. The trash icon is just hard to see because the big widget covers it.

Or better yet if you don't use Amazon at all; go to Menu, Settings, Application Manager, scroll all the way to the right to "All" apps, find and click on anything listed Amazon and then click "Disable"!
