Get this Swype off my phone, purty please :'(

Someone please help me now! I have had my HTC EVO4G ANDROID for over a year and a half, and for some reason in the past 2 days it has decided to go on its own and only use the Swype option. I absolutely hate this and cannot figure out how to uninstall or disable this function anymore. I never had any problems in the past but now I can't get rid of it and I'm ready to throw my phone out the window! amybeth (dot) g mail (dot) com. I am begging for your help!

Did you somehow uninstall what you were using for a keyboard previously?
You should be able to switch between them if you have another keyboard installed:

Menu >> Settings >> Language and Keyboard Settings... Make sure the alternative jeyboard is enabled, then select it. You can also disable the Swype from this menu. Finally, if you are rooted, you can remove it entirely.

Thank you thank you thank you... Verizon Tech could not figure out how to remove it but your instructions worked. i was sending words to people that made no sense ...LOL
