I have 5 lines on Verizon, 2 were grandfathered in, 2 are regular phones, the fifth line I added on the 7th to give my brother my Fascinate so I could get the Razr. I had to settle for 2gigs for 30 bucks for him. Until today. I added the hotspot feature to that new line and was super surprised to find out that by adding it I now have unlimited data on that line. According to the rep the unlimited data will stay on that line even if I choose to remove the hotspot. Let me know if that works for anyone else.

Worked for me! You need to add the MHS feature for $30 and it automatically bumps your data plan to unlimited. Not the MHS + data bundle that is not a separate feature, but rather a bundle available to you in your data plan choices.

You might need to make more than one call. I needed to make 3 calls before I got the feature added.

You can remove the MHS feature as soon as you see the unlimited data in your plan and the unlimited data stays.

So they haven't fixed this? LMFAO. I got my line in November and i had unlimited data since.

I think those of us who got in on this are safe for the long haul, at least as long as they keep these for those of us grandfathered in.

After doing this, I now see a "EMAIL & WEB UNLIMITED" option under my data plans on MyVerizon. This option was not there before. So the appears to work for me. Now, has anyone tried dropping the MHS? I'm about to do it but don't want to loose the unlimited of course. Any dropped MHS and retained unlimited successfully?

Lots of us have, me included. Removed the MHS within minutes and am over 1 billing cycle out and still have unlimited data.
