Gets hot too!

Doesnt really get hot woth usage. If it does go back and have it replaced. Mine will only get warm even when playing games.

Fyi to those who are complaining about heat during charging. That happens. Quick charge will do that as well.

Why?

Very simple. You are attempting to store an electrical charge into a battery. Heat is a byproduct of that.

One thing i have seen happen to my samsing phones is that sometimes it will do a crazy charge on the phone and keep pumping power into the battery despite it being at 100%.... And yes it will explode if its not inplugged asap.

Ive left the v20 plugged in once overnight and despite it being 100%.. Damn thing was still cool.

My V20 stays cool at all times; no thermal anomalies in 22 days. Battery performance, remarkably, better than my V10. Makes me wonder if it's even trying.

OP, if a factory reset doesn't fix the issue, I suggest bringing it back. Tell your carrier that it overheats - that might make your return process easier or at least quickened. Based on what has happened with Samsung, I am sure manufacturers and carriers are on their toes with things like this.

ESPECIALLY if u can replicate it right there... Have an ap like CF Temp loaded to show them....

Another thing you might try is sending a message to T-Force on Twitter. Because they can & WILL do wayyyyyy more than Cust Serv, and they can even put notes on your account to approve the "exchange at Store Level", and so when you go in there the Sales person can just call up your account, see its in there and give you an "easy peasy" exchange....If you include some screenshots of ur high temps in ur msg to T-Mo T-Force, that can help too....They are REALLY helpful, i mean like, "Am I STILL on Planet Earth" helpful...lol

I LOVED love LOVED my LG G2 and EVERYTHING about it, but omg that phone would easily reach 130 degrees when barely doing anything... (i know that's way way wayyyyyy back in the day, but i am just saying it is VERY unnerving when u love a phone to bits EXCEPT for the "hot potato" syndrome...

OP, how is your phone working now? Is it still overheating?
I worked 12 hours shifts both Saturday and Sunday. So i didn't get a chance to troubleshoot my v20.
However today I've removed the Alto email app that I was using for Gmail and downloaded inbox instead. I also made my Mac email to only sync manually.
So far this morning it feels much better, warm to the touch but not hot. I'm going to try it like this for 2 or 3 days. Only have 4 days to return otherwise.

Glad it is not as hot as it had been before! Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm so sorry to hear that! Yes, returning it or exchanging it is your best bet. Keep us updated!
Returned, T-Mobile store gave me a heck of a hard time. Then they said i would have to get a check back for my refund even tho i paid with my card.
An hour later and 2 managers, they refunded my money and walked out of their *******ing store so pissed.
Hope all of you don't have any issues with your phones and/or returns ir exchanges.
Im phoneless for now and don't know what to get now

That's really sad if a app over heats the phone it's amazing what we learn to tolerate.
Return while you still can

I have leaned the hard way myself to always keep a backup phone I went 11 days no phone , realizing in that time how much I'm addicted to instant data

Good luck for a fast resolve

I may have to go to the dark side

Oh no! I'm so sorry that you had such a disheartening experience. I'm glad you got your refund, though! Unfortunate that you had to go through two managers before it happened, but at least it happened! :)

Hmm, yes, that is a tough pickle indeed. Well, my first suggestion to you is to look at what your carrier has available online (so you can browse freely), and see if anything jumps out at you. Or, buying unlocked is always an option! Best Buy has a ton of awesome options.

Is there anything you have questions about, or any phone manufacturer you might like to try? You had the V20, so are you interested in a phone with a removable battery, or a phablet-type phone, or maybe an LG brand specifically?

Mine gets hot too, when charging, playing games and when multitasking a lot of apps.

However, I think that's normal, my G2 did that too, my N7 never actually haha.

I'd be interested what temperature range is 'harmless' or 'normal', anyone any idea?
