Gets hot too!

I'd be interested what temperature range is 'harmless' or 'normal', anyone any idea?

I think li-ion batteries are generally safe up to 150°F, and the electrical components should likely be just as tolerant or more. LG is also pretty aggressive with their thermal based throttling, and you shouldn't see temps over 120°F unless something is wrong.

Mine runs really cool, especially compared to my M9! Warms a little while charging, but not much.

I may have to go to the dark side

After the Note 7 debacle I used an iPhone 6s+ for about a month. I was surprised at how well it worked, and more surprised that I didn't hate it. I may go back again someday. A phone is a phone is a phone. These are tools, not religions. Use what works for you.

Thanks Mooncatt, The highest I've had so far was 105 so should be safe then :)

Anyone's else's v20 gets really hot with normal use?
Just doing normal tasks like texting and email and occasional app download? Mine feels way to hot just for that. Also gets really hot when charging.
Getting flash backs to my note 7 :(

Nope

LG phones do get little hot , use my flex 2 as pocket warmer in winter.

My new moto z play with that new 14nm SoC (625?) runs cooler than my ex gf heart.

My V20 runs surprisingly cool compared to the Galaxy Note 4 I used to have. Makes me wonder if Samsung consistently has their phones pushing their past their performance.

Download the CPU Temp app and see what you get. My Note 4 never used to get below the 90s and consistently hit around 140 Fahrenheit. Sometimes even as high as the upper 170s. I used to get so many high temp alerts I had to turn that option off.

I just looked at CPU Temp now and it has my V20 at 75. Whenever it feels 'hot' to me and I check it's usually around the 90s or 100.

I'm hoping it stays that way, I remember after about a year of owning my Note 4 it started constantly getting hot more after a software update. Even tried multiple Notes and factory resets.

Mine only gets hot when in the direct sun here (100°+).
During use it never gets hot like my V10 did.

Lateck,

Folks stating the V20 does not get hot apparently do not play games on it. The V20 gets toasty after about 20 minutes of gaming. A lot more warmer than the Note 7 seemed to, but the Note 7 is a ghost now and the V20 has an aluminum back.

Mine is unusually cool all the time... I will say that I believe some cases help dissipate heat, and some cases hold it in. I had a clear Speck case, and it held the heat in. I have clear VRS design cases, and they seem to dissipate heat really well. IDK

It's true - my G3 gets a little warm sometimes if I'm using it "too heavily;" but when I was really into Pokémon Go, it would get quite heated with me haha! :P
