Ok i know it's late but i'm getting a g3 next week (i'm in the uk) and i've got some questions....
1.Should i update it to lollipop when i first get it? Are there any problems in lollipop?
2. How good is the battery? Please state screen on time
3. Is there any lag?
4. Are there overheating issues
5. How long have you had the g3 and are you happy with it?

Overall lollipop is good. The battery could be better but it's not horrendous.
I just got the g3 and love it.

It's probably best to upgrade right away, that way if you have any issues & need to do a factory reset, you won't have to back up any data or worry about losing settings or anything. Your upgrade will also probably be smoother since you're working with a clean phone.

I have had mine a couple months from T-Mobile and love it. Battery to me seems great. I haven't checked screen on time with it really drained but have seen over 2hrs with 55% left and close to 3hrs with about 28% left so by that i would say over 4hrs is doable. Probably more since most of my screen time is for games. As far as lag goes, I imagine it's totally dependent on the app. Some open and do hings really quickly and some take a second. I really like the phone for what it cost and can't think of anything out now i would trade it for when i consider the price difference. Having sad all that, I am having a couple issues since the Lollipop update having to do with data signal and wi-fi calling but heard they are aware of the issue and are working on it so not too worried.

Yes, I've had an unlocked D855-EUR since last July. No regrets then, none now.
If he won't mind, I'm going to refer you to the second part of Chris Dontworryaboutit's username....it would make a good answer. :)

Just grab a G3. It's a superb device, and UK prices now are about £100 less than when I bought.

Yeah i figured. But is lollipop stable

Not at UK but I'm running a G3 D850 on At&t at US and so far their update has been smooth. The phone is now more responsive and no lag that I notice. My sot varies from 3-4hrs depending on how heavy I use, but it always last from 6am til 7pm when I get home with no charge needed.

1. Yes
2. SOT with auto brightness - up to 6 hours (screenshot attached)
3. No, but it's a little bit slower then G2 (both on stock) - just my impression
4.No
5. Five weeks. i'm very happy with it.

P.s are you rooted and do you have a custom rom or kernel? Because i plan on using the phone stock

Question 6. How should i charge the g3 when i first get it

To 100%, plus half an hour continued charging after it's reached that. You might find that it sticks at 99% for a time, before tripping to 100%.
You'll probably also find, when you use the phone, that it indicates 100% for a surprisingly long time before falling to 99%.
Opinions about charging and battery care differ, but Rukbat's Ambassador Guide is worth reading:

So should i use it ir charge it staright away

It's a lithium-ion battery, so you do not have to go through charging - discharging several times in order to format it.
G3 battery is ussualy 50%full out of the box. You may charge it immediately or let it discharge first. It's up to you ;)

UK G3 here. Had it for about 2 weeks. Handset can get hot from prolonged use. I did have battery issues this weekend but i reset the device and uninstalled suspect apps, seems back to normal now.

I have had 4hrs 25mins SOT but that was including watching a movie. When using apps its 3 hrs give or take.

I do get lag when launching Google search, thats not immediate for me. I do get the odd home screen re-draw too.

Overall i am happy, I had to choose from last years flagships as i was priced out of the new ones. On Three I got the device free and my contract cost reduced.
