Getting a new phone-get a brand new memory card?

Ordering a new phone this week, so, just wondering if I should get a brand new 64/128 Gb memory card, or, if the 3 year old one in my current phone will still suffice, or is there a chance that one will finally crap out after 3 years of use?

SD cards have a life mainly based on read/write cycles. Now that count is very high, but at the same time, 3 years of moderate use can take a big chunk out of that.

I would honestly suggest getting a new card anyway.

Prices have come down considerably. If you're spending the money on a new phone, might as well get a new card too.
