Getting a small blank notification line

I'm having an issue where I'm getting a small blank notification line, that's cutting off the bottom of my actual notifications. What could be causing this and how can it be fixed? I took a screenshot of the notification of the confirmation email. You can see the bar at the bottom and the little bit of red text that is being cut off. Tapping, swiping, and long pressing the blank bit do not do anything. Pixel 2 XL
