yep my Palm Pre got on my nerve too. its only but so much you can take from a smart phone, hang in there and be patient

Got lucky myself. Decided to pull the trigger and move from my Pre (which I seriously loved except for the gradually worsening lag issues) this past Saturday. Called all my local Sprint Corporate stores, as well as several Best Buy stores (they wouldn't even transfer me to the mobile dept when I asked...asked what I was looking for and promptly said "we're out" and hung up.

As a last ditch effort, I called the indirect, non-corporate Sprint store about a half-mile from my house thinking "no way they'll have any". I was stunned when the employee stated they had ONE in stock. I bought it 20 minutes later. She had three that day, all were gone by 11am.

Point is, call ALL your local shops early in the day and ask...even the mom & pop stores if you're not willing to wait.

I put money down for it a sprint store and told them I want it between July 1st - 7th...part of me is thinking about going to Bestbuy though, I don't want to wait for a rebate!

yeah, my dad had this idea that you didn't get the rebate with your upgrade unless you ordered through sprint online. not sure if that's true or not. but we ordered online and are just gonna wait for the rebate.
