Hi all. Whenever I charge my hp slate 7, I can feel electrical zap at the metal sides. I am using the OEM charger and usb and i am having this problem. I have tried using a third party adapter and it has the same problem.

I would guess there is a bad connection. If you still have a warranty, I would call HP.

Thanks for the reply.

I noticed that by using my S4 adapter and hp cable, I will not have the electric shock problem. However, I bought a third party adapter and it is still having the same problem.

Both the S4 adapter and the HP adapter are rated at 2A

You should be able to buy another adapter from the HP site.

I bought a third party adapter and it still has the same problem. What I did was to take a resistor and touch it around the metal sides while charging. To my surprise, I can feel slight vibrations which shows that there is really electricity conducted around the tablet.

The only thing that works is the S4 adapter. I wouldn't get any electrical shocks if I charge using it.

Now it's more strange. My new third party adapter is unable to charge my tablet.
