Getting Free Gear S2 from verizon promo with GS7 & Edge

Has anyone gotten there watch from samsung with the verizon promotion yet?

nope

mine just says Submission approved, shipment pending

but mine got weird. I submitted originally for the S2, then they said my receipt was missing the location code, so I updated my submission, and then I got an email thanking me for submitting for the Gear VR, which I didn't do

So I called support, and e-mailed. They never clarified if it was fixed, just said it was being reviewed, then I got that approval, which does not clarify which device I'm getting. Which sucks, because if I was def getting the S2, I would have already bought a Gear VR.

Seems dumb to buy a Gear VR if I'm getting one, and I doubt it will have much resale value, and I dont think I need 2 of them. So now I'm just waiting until i get whatever free thing I got

I just received mine from fedex a few minutes ago. I thought the free offer was for the bluetooth only version, but the box of mine is verizon branded and there was a paper included explaining the benefits of activating it as a connected device. Were we supposed to be getting the 3g version?

We all got the 3g version. Don't feel compelled to activate it. I'm using mine just via bluetooth.

It's only $5 a month to activate it though. I figured it's worth checking out for that price. Already paid off. I had to rush out the door to a meeting (2.5 hours away) and left my phone sitting on the charger.....but, I had my Gear S2 on and was able to make and receive calls during my trip.
