Hey guys, I'm wanting to try an unlocked international version of the note 8 this time around. I've always bought from verizon with alot ofnthe features stripped out by the carrier and with their lovely bloatware. So now I'm curious if I can get a clean unlocked Samsung exynos processor Note 8 in the US and put my Verizon sim card in it and it work flawlessly.

Is this doable and if so how would I do it.

Thanks in advanced!

Exynos doesn't have cdma. I wouldn't recommend it. If you don't want Verizon carrier additions including wifi calling then you can buy the unlocked usa one from Samsung direct. Keep in mind that the unlocked one is not a Verizon phone so you would receive limited support from Verizon for it, customer service wise.

Not having CDMA isn't really a deal-breaker for Verizon. After all, Verizon sells a LTE-only flip phone so if they don't care about a phone not having CDMA, why should anyone else? :D

I don't recommend it because there are spots where my service drops to cdma and also, areas where 4glte is so loaded that 3g is quicker. Of course I realize that everyone's needs are different, and some might not need cdma.
