Getting my Pixel 2 xl

Hi all, ordered the device through Google taking advantage of their $200 credit (compared it to the VZW credit and felt this was better for me). Replacing a Moto XPE which is beginning to show some signs of age.
I received the shipped notice, phone should be here Mon/Tue..

The IMEI shows build date of mid-Jan. '18. hope that means little to no issues.

I generally keep my phone in a leather pouch without a case, so i'm in the process of finding a suitable one for the 2XL. Any recommendations are welcome.

Enjoy. I got mine yesterday. Did you add the fast charger to your order as well because that's free with the promotion. The XL flies and has been great to use. Hopefully you enjoy it.

Yes but they give you a second one for free also. Just have to add it to the cart. It's 35 dollars but once added it becomes free

Ah ok cool. I only said because the first order I placed I forgot to add it. I had to cancel the order and order again.

I have this UltraSlim Classic leather case from Sena, which is designed for the iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus, but which I've been using for my Moto X Pure Edition (also got one for my wife's MXPE) for two years. I tried it out for size on the Pixel 2 XL (which I've ordered from Best Buy and am awaiting delivery), and was pleasantly surprised to find that it seemed to be a great fit (so I don't need to order a new one!):

To be specific, the Sena stock number is SFD202GBUS-50R. This case has held up beautifully for me, and has elicited compliments from friends. I also used a similar but smaller Sena case on my previous phone, a Moto X, with complete satisfaction. I don't know how much protection from breakage it would provide if the phone is dropped on a very hard surface, but it has kept my device like new while being carried in my pocket and enabled it to survive intact against a few drops on carpeted and even wood floors.

Yes I added the free charger to my order.

Hopefully, the transfer of all my files/apps will go smoothly. I have my XPE set to backup auto-magically so just hope it works. I also read somewhere that the included cable can be connected (XPE to 2XL) and will transfer everything over but didn't see any howto's or apps to accomplish that. I'll keep searching.

Not sure why you'd need it, as the XL is capped at 10.5w. Pretty sure the included charger in the box is capable of this. You might get about 15w for just a few minutes but after that it's around 10w the majority of the charge time.

The transfer is super easy. I upgraded this week from my LG G5 and the transfer only took a couple of mins. You connect the cord to the Pixel 2 and then use the adapter to connect the other end to your old phone. Couple of clicks on screen and it transfers anything you want over.

Why would you not get a second free charger. It's free. Not like your paying for it. Keep it for a spare.

Oh, I don't think it's redundant. I guess I should've clarified that you don't need a faster charger since the included one is as fast as it will ever charge.
