Getting preparing SD card message

Had a Sandisk 64gb sd card since i got the phone in November of last year. I get the preparing sd card message in the notification bar whenever I reboot. Already ordered a Samsung 64gb card, because from all the web posts, I see that the message presages total card failure.

My 32gb scandisk died after I got this message about 2 moths ago
But pc still able to detect the card.
Note2 just wont read it.....

I just called Sandisk tech support and I reformatted the card in my PC as recommended by them, but I still get the same preparing sd card message when I restart the phone.
