Okay so I have a question.

I originally got the S8+ on the T-Mobile JUMP plan. I gave it to my husband because I switched to the Note 8, I am on the JUMP on Demand with this phone so I'm thinking of switching the the Pixel XL. My husband wants to go back to his iPhone for a few so I'm wondering, am I able to return the phone (S8+) to T-Mobile without paying the full amount?
I know with JUMP you have to pay half of the device to upgrade to another phone, is it possible to just pay half the device off and then give it back without choosing another device? It would mean I'd only have to pay the remaining $140+.

I seriously hope this made sense haha it's challenging to explain.

Well T-Mobile is very open to BYOD. I'm thinking they probably wouldn't care if you bought the Pixel and started using it on your line, but continued making payments on the S8. And if you didn't want the S8, I figure you will have to pay off the remaining half to return it, but I'm not certain on that.

No. I do not think so. First off with jump on demand you can upgrade to a new phone multiple times a year. With regular jump you can upgrade once you have paid off half of the phone. T-Mobile will not let you pay half and return the device without upgrading to another phone.
I think your best option would be to pay it of then sell the phone to get some money back. You could also get the xl and use it while still making the monthly payments on your s8.

That I recall with the jump on demand I'd saying u only have 140 left on lease contract not the phone but if that's what's left on the lease yea once u pay that it's ... Because if u was to keep it once u pay the lease contract u can either turn in the phone and upgrade or if u decide to keep that phone u would either have to pay the rest amount up front or u would pay it off per month but u wouldn't be on the jump program anymore with that phone ... That's what's I was told
