I recently added two battery saving apps: Easy Battery Saver & Easy Task Killer. However, each are positioned at the top of my screen rather than in the Apps section and I can't figure out how to remove these shortcuts.

Also welcome feedback on these apps, as so far they seem to have helped my battery savings.

Normally, all you have to do is long press and drag the icons over to where it says remove on your screen.

Unfortunately this doesn't work. What results is the "drop-down" bar appears (as does the date) and then dragging it down reveals info about the apps. Can't long-press on this info either as nothing happens.

Oh OK, I know what you mean now.

Check in the setting of the apps you downloaded. Sometimes, you can turn off the status bar notifications. If it's not in there then unfortunately you'll have to either try to endure it or remove the apps.

Sent from my HOX+ loaded with Elegancia ROM v5.2.0

Was unable to locate the option in settings so removed and installed "Juice Defender". This has the option to remove/not display on the top bar.

I used Juice Defender on my GNex and really liked it :)
