Getting rid of the "swipe to open" feature

I followed all the steps for my Galaxy S7 to get rid of the 'swipe to open" feature. When I go to settings..' screen lock type' it says SWIPE. When I open that up, it says, in faint black 'No Security' then in Blue it says 'Current Lock Type'. If I hit that it takes me back to the beginning. No matter what I do I cannot get rid of that swipe feature. Please any help will be appreciated

Settings. Search lock screen. You should get a list of lock screen types. Choose None.
