Getting Tired of Making Corrections Using GBoard Glide Typing

Probably isn't the exact forum for this complaint but the members are so knowledgeable here I figure I'd post it here to start.

I'm a glide typist. Have been for 6 years now. I've tried SwiftKey, a couple others, and GBoard. I gave up on SwiftKey several years ago because I kept having mis-types I needed to correct. I've been on GBoard since then.

Now the same thing is happening on GBoard. It seems I can't type a sentence without editing it. (Every sentence so far in this post has required corrections.) It just takes the fun out of writing anything. I am so sick and tired of getting 'had' when I want 'has'; 'do' when I want 'so'. Using the space key to position the cursor within a word is a crap shoot. There are many more examples.

What to do?

I mix between gestures and voice for the most part, though I've started getting better at tapping over the last couple of years now that phones are big enough to make the keyboard big enough for my hands to do it feasibly.

I use SwiftKey. Autocorrect just works! I like having up-dwn rt-lft arrow keys for positioning. Today I'm about 90% voice to text.

I've used Gboard exclusively and use to have the same issues. however, it has learned, and I have learned how to use it more effectively. I glide more accurately now, and I notice that words will automatically change for me based on context, if it gets the word wrong at first

I use Gboard with Glide in Portuguese Brazil and nowadays it works very well on Nokia 6.1, you just need to put the right velocity fingers and stops, it takes some time, but after its very pleasant
