"ghost" draft in my messages app

So every time I reply to a text message there is already text in my writing box. I have to delete it and then type my message. I tried deleting all drafts and all messages but it still comes back. Wtf?? Any Nd all help is appreciated.

Strange.. what does the text say?

You can try clearing the app defaults.
Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Messages.. or whatever SMS app you're using > Clear Data/Cache.

Also if you haven't done so yet... reboot your phone.

It's some secret code from... Lol na its just a sentence I had saved as a draft about a week ago to a different person.

Yeah clearing the data cache like cyber warrior said gets rid of it for mine and my wife's phone anyway. I take it that it's some kind of bug because it happens periodically to my phone as well as my wife's. Also on our phone's, when you have a message it has a green one or two or how ever many number messages you have, well i have noticed that after you read your messages you have to pause on the main message screen and wait for the green number to disapear because if you don't and you back out really quickly then it will still say you have the messages in the green circle. Hard to explain in writing but just thought i would throw that out there in case you were having that problem as well.

i found the more messages u have under that thread it takes longer to clear the count..that used to piss me off now i only leave a day or two worth of messages that count will clear almost instantly hated clearing the cache and data then it changed the ringtone also
