GIF Animation now working in Note 5

I have updated the Smart Select app from apkmirror and my Note 5 has GIF Animation option now. Nice!

On a side note, when using smart select. The extract text box is greyed out when selecting hand written text with smart select. Am i missing something?

I don't recall smart select working for transforming hand writing, s-note does that.

Use Smart Select to select the text, then save to the Gallery. From there select the images you want and from the More menu drop down select animate.
Interesting the Gif. works for me but not when I post here.
I will have to explore this.
The Gif. makes it to the upload point and then is saved as a jpg.. Oh well, I tried

Tried the GIF create on one of my videos and turned out perfect. Unfortunate that it's limited to 15 seconds but it's a useful niche. (I know the aspect ratio is bad, but this was just to see if it even worked as intended)
