Gifs wont Loop on Samsung Messages

Unlike my S7 Edge, Gifs that I send or receive on Samsung's Messages App do not loop unless I click on them. They'll play and then stop. Some might say... quit whining and just select the attachment but I feel as it takes away from the enjoyment of watching Tina Belcher from Bob's Burgers twerking endlessly as I carry on a convo with a friend. Is there something I'm missing? An option? An update? A better messaging app that takes advantage of Note 8 features?

Unfortunately note 8 default messaging system doesn’t convert gif into mms.. google g board will not work either

I also have this problem and I'm not happy about it. I paid 1000 dollars for a phone that can't even loop a gif.

That's the deal breaker for some huh?? Lol!

It is a bummer, but doesn't change the fact that I am pleased with my purchase decision. Facebook messenger will still do it if it's that important, or consider using a 3rd party messaging app..??

I was very annoyed by this as well. I ended up downloading and switching to Textra and they all work as they should now. I am also using Gboard
