Hi All, I did the update and actually like the look of gingerbread. However what i've noticed is I have a constant sync symbol at the top ( two arrows in a circular pattern) and it wont go away. I've tried resetting the phone and still is there. Wondering if anyone knows what this might be and how to stop it.

2nd thing is the normal texting program has the feedback on the keys, I know the previous verison you could turn that off , but I cannot find the option to do so on GB. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

Boot into Bootstrap and wipe Data will fix this error.. Also if you are restoring from Titanium Backup, do not restore Account Storage because this causes this also.

Settings / Language and Keyboard / Multi-touch Keyboard / Vibrate on keypress uncheck

Thank you in advance!

This should get you straight...

Awesome info, I should have posted I finally figured out the keyboard thing. As for the sync symbol I dont have a rooted DX , just running the crap vzw version

Usually this is because of corrupt data in Account Storage settings, if you go to Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / All Tab / Account Storage and click Force Stop it should go away but it will reopen but this will verify this is the issue..

This issue was only reported on the leaked or rooted build but not the OTA version so this is surprising you are seeing this.. Then you may try wiping cache in stock recovery...

1. Power Off device
2. Press and hold Home
3. Press Power with Home Still Pressed
4. Wait for Droid with triangle and then press volume up and down
5. Select Wipe Cache Patition
6. Click Power Button to enter
7. After complete process select Reboot System Now
8. Press Power Button

I made the sync icon go away by doing a factory reset via settings>privacy>factory data reset.

Cheers

Glad you got it resolved, I didn't suggest that because in original post it sounded like you had already done a hard reset...
