Somehow I didn't notice it, but Motorola has provided a simple yet effective Task Manager in the 2.3 leak. It gives you a black list where you add apps which you want killed after 2 minutes of screen off time. It has some other options too, but that one is a killer feature. I can finally stop Google Finance bugs from taking down my battery.

You're the first to notice it, it seems. I use it to stop Flow on the odd occasion a photo or video upload fails. I haven't added anything to the autokill list though.

i noticed a task manager on my Droid 2 Global and i'm still on 2.2 although i haven't tried to mess with it yet but its there

The stock task manager on the D2G almost works too well. After adding applications to the auto end list it refuses to allow them to be removed. I accidentally added my music to the auto end list and it would always stop playing mid-song. had to clear the data cache to fix it
