Gingerbread ota, curiosity, can you root

Hi all,

For those lucky enough to get gingerbread today from the soak, can you please let us know if you tried/ and were sucessful gaining root on your droid?.Does gingerbreak work?

Tried using Gingerbreak V1.2. Did not work.
