I can also confirm it was pulled about 5 pm today I was at work and actually rejected the update so that I could do it once I got home, just checked for the update but now its gone...

The experience you describe is routine and happened to many people right here on this forum the first day. Then they were able to get the update a little while later. The scenario you describe does not prove that the update was pulled.

Yes, they received an email that they typed up themselves 30 seconds into you describing the issue.
The update has not been pulled. I can confirm this with 100% certainty, as its my department that is responsible for OTA update recalls due to data connectivity and other similar such issues, which is the claim that was made previously. I would have gotten a phone call at 4 a.m. telling me that the Thunderbolt update cycle is being scaled back or stopped due to an influx of identical reported issues. The issues have to be identical (such as the Droid X GB update screwing up the multi-touch keyboard) in order to be classified as a genuine "known issue" with the software, and not just a malfunction during the update process which is equally as common.
It *is* however, very normal during an OTA update release to push/make it available in waves, and when we do that it is normal that we take a break in between waves to see what feedback is given from customers.
A complete OTA update for any particular device usually takes 90 days to have a complete update cycle (in other words, reach 100% of devices able to receive the update).

Guess I should feel fortunate. I bought my TB used off of Craigslist last Friday. Was supposedly used only for a week. It was in the box and flawless.
When I powered it up it had the original software on it; reboots and all! Updated to latest Froyo update on Saturday and got GB as soon as the OTA rolled out.
This phone has been flawless. What a refreshing change from my old trusty yet laggy DX. I'm really liking this phone so far.
I never got it and I cannot do it manually. I also tried battery/SIM card pull for 5 minutes, didn't help. This is pissing me off. I've wanted skype since I got the damned phone months and months ago.

If it had rebooting issues, it likely had the MR1 update on it. The original software had few issues, albeit rather annoying, issues with data connectivity and GPS locking.
In my opinion, the Thunderbolt still has a ways to go before I can call the stock software stable, but then again honestly how many smartphones I think have even 90% stable software... None. Its the curse of technology: More advanced means more things to malfunction.
If you want it that badly, there's plenty of links on the forum that show how to manually download and install it.
This makes sense...I still can't see it but I guess I missed my first window...I may root in the meantime

They haven't pulled the update from my phone. I ended doing a reset today. They told me too.......
Yes it does... this is the only method that will work with GB and previous builds and it is VERY simple to do. The other root methods were pulled since they no longer work with the GB update. For anyone who has doubts... watch the video in the guide and see for yourself how easy it is to root.
