gingerbread questions

I'm sure these might have been answered somewhere on here and had no luck finding them.

1. Since I did the gingerbread update from the HTC site, I've had some lag issues, my screen somewhat bounces when scrolling thru pages, text messages aren't coming thru with the names and numbers, coming thru as number and number, spoke to ATT and HTC tried a few things that have no success. Is there a way to get I think froyo back because that worked fine? And can anyone recommend anything I can do on my end that might fix any of those few annoying issues I'm having. Thanks

You were correct as these topics are covered.... You can run the froyo ruu that can be found over on xda...

As far as sms, turn off the other address books in view and it will help. When in a problematic thread, you can touch the number and choose call... This will populate the info.
