Gingerbread Update

Hey all,

My friend has the Inspire on ATT and is still waiting for his Gingerbread update. He's tried pulling it from the settings menu and no dice. Any ideas? Has ATT pulled the update?

HTC - Mobile Phones, Smartphones, Cell Phones, PDAs and go look for the Gingerbread update and your sure it says 2.2?? WARNING BACK EVERYTHING UP BC A NON OTA UPDATE WHEN YOU. Flash an updated rom you will loose all data all text applications it will be nothing left at all

Yeah, he is definitely on 2.2.1 He doesn't want to take the time to back everything up because his texts, app data, etc will still be erased. And no, he doesn't want to pay for something like My Backup Pro. Titanium Backup is an option, but it will not restore app data unless he is rooted, which he is not.

I just don't understand why he can't pull the OTA...

Just root it and get CyanogenMod trust mebthe update on stocks hardly noticible and you got to have root to even open titanium BC it requires busy box and busy box requires root so yea

Has he called the at&t customer service?? It will probobly help then again I don't like talking to those idiots they infuriate me

Hell call at&t and be pissed talk to the presidents office and see if their willing to gibe him a deal for thw vivid or one x XD BE REALLY PISSED and threaten to go to sprint or verizon i got unlimited data that way shhh
