Here's the system update I'm being offered:

2.76.651.4 (248.83MB)

Is that the same exact one that others on this forum have downloaded and installed? The reason I ask is I see so many complaints about the GB update. So I'm not all that keen to download and apply it. But perhaps this is a slightly later, patched, version of the initial GB OTA update.

That is the correct update. Some have encountered glitches, etc., but I haven't. It runs pretty smoothly and the speed gain is very noticeable. (booting is a matter of seconds, not minutes). There are many improvements, as well as some changes. You'll have to judge for yourself, but I feel the update is well worth it. I'm sure any problems will be fixed soon. I'm happy with it.

I got notification of the update but the time wasn't good to do the update so I canceled. Now, I go to settings and try to manually get the update, and it says I'm up to date. This kind of crap drives me nuts!

I had the same issue. Try shutting the phone off for a few minutes then start it back up and look for it. That worked for me.

Well, I decided to take the least amount of chances and did a Factory Reset before downloading and installing the update. Everything is working fine. The device seems a little peppier. Some nice new features. Thanks for the encouragement.

I had the same issue. Try shutting the phone off for a few minutes then start it back up and look for it. That worked for me.

I've tried twice now to shut down and re-start, nothing. I guess they'll get around to pushing it to me eventually. :'(

I pulled the battery in my wifes shift and that brought it back.

I tried removing the battery on the 29th. Still nothing different then. Just thought I'd manually check for updates this morning and it was available. Guess I just had to wait it out and they re-advertised it. It's downloading as I type.
