Cant seem to get this to work. I followed the instruction and once I click "root" it gave me a pop up instantly that said my phone was rooted and it was rebooting. But it wasnt. Any ideas?

Hey, total newb question. Im using the mac version, it said that I need to reboot my phone before using this. Does that mean I need to reset it back to the factory settings?

No, just a normal reboot is all that is needed.

My husband has a new Samsung Intercept with only 4 new apps installed and the memory is 87% full because the pre-installed apps he really didn't need and will never use, I want to root it to get rid of the junk and free up memory for the stuff he really needs. Will this root app work for this intercept? I think
it will work for my VM LG 670, but his is in need of more help than mine. any advice here?

You really need ask on the Intercept forums. They would have a better idea of what works on that phone.

Rooted mine the old fashioned way, then my wife's phone was acting up - didn't want to reboot into windows, and that's how I found this.

Just wanted to throw out a huge thanks!!

(btw, had no SD card in the first time, and it hung, but I put one in and it worked in under 10 seconds - not sure if this is a known thing, just throwing it out there)

10 SECONDS!

MANY MANY THANKS :cool::cool::cool:

I am trying to root my Optimus S. It gets to the part that says "Executing exploit, this could take a while" and just sits there. I have tried this multiple times on fresh boots of the phone each time. I have let it run for hours and nothing.

Am I doing something wrong?

I just tried this under Linux on an Optimus V. I tried several times and it stuck at the same point. I noticed that the phone was rebooting. It turned out that it was working all along.

Also, I didn't even know how to tell if it was rooted. Look for Superuser on the Apps screen.

You should try the Son of Khoral or whatever its called over on the S forums.

Great Idea... Bad Program. Just Hangs On My Droid Charge 2.6.35.7-FP1 (Were Talking Over An Hour). Guess They Patched Up The Exploit :(

I had some major snafus today with my phone. Anyways i was on a 4.0 rom and now im back to stock without my custom recovery. Anyways I used your app and it rebooted and everything but when I tru "su" it says 'permision denied'. I was wondering what the hell is going on? Am I going to have to use that old method of rooting where you type everything? What can I do,...
