Sounds like you folks will finally he getting the galaxy nexus! Congratulations! A few tips from a current VZW Galaxy Nexus owner;

Juice Defender for battery, LTE drains that bad boy pretty quick, but its very worth it!

Try to have fun with stock before you go ahead and change everything up...ICS has a lot of cool stuff to offer..

And thats all I have to say because most of you are probably smarter than me with hacking and rooting...

I just wanted to say welcome to the galaxy nexus, happy to hear that you folks will be getting it! Hopefully Sprint isn't as controlling as Verizon...maybe you guys will have cool accessories that are compatible, like a real dock and things that utilize the three pins, unlike how Verizon has done to us...

Can't you just turn off the LTE in the phone when you're not using it?
