Glass Screen Protector Recommendations (S8 Plus)

I noticed it yesterday but it seems to have sorted itself out. The only thing that puts me off is the reflection. My phone screen was barely unusable yesterday on three bright sunshine which is a problem here in southern Californian

I can tell you the Zagg Sapphire defense is nothing more than a thick plastic screen protector. Had it for the iPhone 7 plus and was not thrilled at all with it.

It might work on the curved screen though.

The best protector that I found for the curved screens was the Bodyguardz HD Contour. It was plastic but a real nice protector that worked on the curved displays.

Hey, so, I've been looking into the Sapphire defense for the S8, and comparing the website to the iPhone 7 plus one, it looks like the one for the S8 may be made differently. In the description of the 7+ sapphire defense website, it reads: "Aerospace Grade Self-Healing: Smart molecules remember their shape to automatically remove surface scratches." This is probably the "plastic" part of the protector. However, that's noticeably absent from that of the S8 website. My guess is they saw the ridiculously low reviews from the 7+ and changed up their design, eliminating the plastic "self-healing" aspect that seems to be the most complained-about feature from the 7+.

Alright, I was wrong I guess. Looks like the Sapphire is a hybrid between the HDX InvisibleShield and the GLASS InvisibleShield, aka the plastic HDX is what you interact with and is what gets scratched to hell. Sucks, I had such faith in Zagg after the mess they went through with the iPhone 7 and 7+. (Source: Chat support with Zagg)
