gmail account not synching new emails. no notifications.

After successful 3.1 update I noticed today thatmy email account is not synching emails on its own. I sent many emails from other devices but account is not synching emails. Anybody noticed this?
 
Its funny I am noticing the same thing but I am still at 3.01 on a canadian xoom!!!
 
Mine is working fine. The update did change some settings for me however. You might want to:

  1. Check that your email accounts are still set to auto-sync
  2. Failing that clear the gmail cache under manage applications
  3. Failing that clear gmail application data under manage applications

This type of approach usually resolves android calendar sync issues, and may work for gmail as well.

I forced restarted xoom 3 times now in 15 minutes. I see gmail notification in bottom tray but no more notification light on right top. Is it any setting?
 
My Gmail had stopped syncing on 3.1 as well. To fix it, I removed the account from the device, re-added it, and once it got everything re-synced it's been working great.
 
I noticed this yesterday when an appointment I created on my desktop pc didn't appear on my Xoom. But when I deleted and recreated it on Xoom, it showed up instantly on the desktop and my Captivate.
 
The email seems to be working fine for me, but it's just the LED notification that is not working. It works with GTalk but not Gmail. Anyone else have this problem?
