GMail and FB not auto syncing

For the past few days, my apps such as FB and Gmail have not been sending notifications or auto syncing. Manual update does work on both though. Any thoughts?

this has been discussed here many many times. the easiest way is to put the power control widget on the home screen and make sure that sync icon (two circular arrows) activated.

make sure you have this widget on your home screen http://www.androidmeup.com/system/application/resources/img/power-control-widget.jpg to get it on your home screen: long press on any empty space on your home screen go to "Android widgets" find "Power Control" place it on your home screen, make sure that the circle with arrows ( the second icon from the right) is always highlighted. just like on the picture. this icon represents sync which is for emails social net. and everything else syncable.
there is an alternative way, go to: settings, accounts, press on email that you want to sync and make sure you have enabled syncing for those functions that you want (gmail, calendar, contacts. etc.)
