Gmail and own domain

Hi All,

I hope this is in the right category, if not, please accept my apologies.

My question is thus, is it possible to set up an Android OS on my HTC One X, using Gmail which has been configured to use my own domain?

At the moment I have a separate Gmail account which I use only for setting up my phone. Incidentally I also use the Google calendar, but I am planning on changing this soon.

What I would really like is to use Outlook (as I am used to this client) such that I can use the calendar. I would also like to use my own domain with Gmail, which I understand I can do...and then I would like to use this Gmail/own domain linked account to set up my phone. Is this possible?

Could someone possibly guide me through the steps? Just a high level path would be great.

Any help would be great!

Thanks.

Once your domain email is hosted on gmail (I'm not sure if that's free anymore, Google's been making changes lately), then you can use that gmail account on your phone as you would any other account, except it'll be your own domain and not @gmail.com. _some_ features don't work, but they are few and far between. The only example I can remember is Chrome-to-phone (which is deprecated compared to Chrome's tab syncing feature) would only work with @gmail.com addresses.

Otherwise the phone setup is the same.
