I sent an email attachment on gmail app about 6 hours ago and I have just had a notification sayining 'cannot send attachment. Error...'

Any way to tell if the recipient in fact received the attachment? Error messages like that can sometimes be faulty themselves. If there was a problem, then try sending it again--maybe there was a dropout in the network signal when you were sending it initially.
