Gmail birses Samsung email app set up problem

trying to switch from Gmail to the Samsung email app on my S S9 plus. My settings are now Wacky. I'm getting double triple email reminders and double and triple E mails. Can anyone help me with the parameters and the Sync options. The The correct ones.[some1 using it already] properly. i took bad advice & now i am lost & discombobulated. thanks jathony

Just make sure you're logged off the Gmail app and check if on your Google account settings, Gmail is not set to sync.
