Gmail Delayed

Since I have upgraded to Nouget I've been having issues with Gmail notifications. They sometimes show up right away or other times takes several hours to show. For example when I went into Gmail to look for an email the other day one email shows up while in the app. I look at the time stamp and it was sent like 4-5 hours ago but just now shows up.
I have change my battery to full performance and Gmail app has notifications enabled.

Anyone else experience this or have a solution to a fix?

Wish I could be more helpful, but I have the same problem with my S8+. Gmail works fine one day, have to go into the app the next in order to see new posts. There are some good posts on the forum concerning notifications, you may find something helpful there. Sorry to not have a great answer for you.

Have to disagree. Aside from the intermittent notifications on the S8 (my S7e worked flawlessly) Gmail works very well. I have all my email accounts in there with no issues at all.

It seemed to work great before this update.

Pretty much depends on Gmail server .. it delays ecen on PCs too ..
I can see it off and on my N5 before and after update .. ?

My Note has the same issue after the update and also loses connection to WiFi when the screen is off. I have stuffed the phone in a drawer ever since the update.

I have had no problem before or after the update with Gmail. Works smoothly in conjunction with my synched corporate email server.

Removing and re-adding my google account fixed this for me.
