gmail does not receive emails with attachements

as much as I like android OS I hate gmail app.......
anyway.. could somebody please explain me or tell me how to fix this issue?
i get pushed text emails just fine. but i dont automatically receive emails with attachements I have to manually "refresh" in gmail and then it downloads immediatly. This is really annoying because someone might send me an attachement and i won't know about it..... i have my email set to automatic sync cuz like i said i receive push emails without attachements.

it seems to be working now... I am sorry... i really don't understand why it doesnt work..... sometimes.....

Since getting the phone I have never had my Gmail push to the phone. My work email through Microsoft Exchange and my Yahoo account work just fine, but if I want to check my Gmail account...I have to manually refresh.

Any help out there?

Well its actually very simple just add a power widget to your homescreen and make sure the sync on it is highlighted... its been discussed here before in few threads...

Go into settings, accounts then Google accounts. Make sure you have all of them synced and your email should push. I get everything pushed to my phone, including attatchments through gmail.

Call me stupid...but I see this thread and others (http://forum.androidcentral.com/motorola-atrix/78804-gmail-sync-issues.html) but still do not see how to turn the sync on when I go into my settings.

Under my Gmail account the Contacts, Gmail and Calender all say "Touch to sync now" but do not give me any other options.

Never mind...the power control widget fixed it. Thanks for the advice.
