Gmail puts an icon in the notifications but doesn't light the LED. I can't find a setting for it. Where is it?

Download the "Light Flow" app from the market for full customization of notifications and LED flashes.

Seriously? Google omitted this feature that's been on smart phones for like 15 years?

Mine always lit with emails and texts but thanks to lightflow I customized the colors and blink rate for each.

I think I see what's happening. It does light up but within seconds one of my other devices also sees the message and Android stops blinking (though the notification remains).

My apologies, Google.

Does Lightflow work without rooting phones? I cannot select colors, says none are found on device? Or Do I need the pay version for it to work on GN?

The free version of Lightflow works just fine on my nexus. No rooting required.

I have the paid version of lightflow so I don't know about the free version. Remember the screen has to be off for the led to blink for notifications as well. Before I installed lightflow it did take like 5 seconds for the first blink and it was slow but now it's immediate and I set it to a fast blink rate.

My problem involves selecting colors for different notifications. I'll play with it some more to see what I figure out. Thanks fro the replies.
