Gmail drop down notification (delete option gone)

On my Note 8, when I'd receive an email in Gmail, I could pull down the drop down notification and have the option to deleve or reply to the email. On my Note 10 the options are to archive or reply. Anyone know how to change it from archive to delete?

It was probably a change in the app. On my Pixel 3 I have the same 2 options when pulling the notification down further.

I haven't used the gmail app in a long time, but it should be somewhere in the settings to change the archive option to delete.

I still have the delete option on my notifications. I use it all the time. In your Gmail app under General Settings is the Default Notification Action set to Delete?

My default is set to delete.

I changed mine to delete from archive. Gmail defaults that option as archive.

I didn't realize it could be changed. Thanks to those that posted that.
