Gmail notification issues

I have not been getting any notifications for incoming emails on my DT. I have double checked my account settings, gmail settings-everything is set to ON. Anyone else having this issue or know a fix? If i refresh/open my gmail they show up, but alerts would be nice.

i've had this problem in the past and it was because GCM (Google Cloud Messaging) was broken. no push services. the only fix was a hard reset back to factory fresh state and then a manual resync/reinstall of everything. be sure you back up all of your data first. good luck.

Did you do the advanced calling update? When I turned that on, it took several hours for Gmail notifications to come through. All the settings were correct, and eventually the problem took care of itself.
