Ok I saw that there was a thread about this but it wasnt exactly the same issue..Hopefully someone could help because I cannot find ANYTHING that has fixed the issue.
I have a Samsung galaxy A36 5g I was only trying to switch the Gmail notification tone whenever this happened.
I clicked the vibrate and sound button then next thing I know there is a megaphone with a slash through it (essentially a muted or silent icon) and o cannot get any tones for incoming emails despite everything in the phone and Gmail app saying otherwise.
all I can see is the "configure in gmail" "tab which i went into, clicked the email and verified that all Gmail notifications are allowed and on.
