GMail sync issue

My G-Mail randomly stops syncing until I manually do it. At times under Accounts I'll see G-Mail with a sync icon so I have to disable and reenable it.

Any fixes or is a factory reset due?

I just noticed this happening a couple of times in the past few days as well. Gmail told me that sync was off. My Auto-Sync for the whole phone was on, but when I went to the Gmail settings, the Sync Gmail checkbox was off. I'll have to keep watching to see if this happens again.

The March update came out and the issue still persists. I am not the only one either so it's rather annoying. Funny how my friend using an iPhone gets his Gmail without issues though, lol.

The Gmail team said it was a server side issue and it would roll out a fix 'in the coming weeks' and that was a couple of weeks ago. I'm still having delayed messages. If I refresh everything pops right up.

Same here, but I know some are not experiencing it. Lucky people.

Hope it's solved soon. It is very annoying.

Same! It is very annoying. I had a busy day today, and I didn't even check my email until I got home. Refreshed, and messages from this morning popped up! Very annoying.

Yea, having the same issue here...

I installed Blue Mail to compliment the Gmail app until the problem is solved. I'll tell you what, I'm about 2 seconds from just using Blue Mail exclusively. It's the best email approve used.

Plus, when my Gmail IS synching in real time, Blue Mail still sends me a notification a few seconds before Google....

Guys this is a known issue and there is a post in the Google forums that Google/Android team is working on a fix. I used to have these issues as well with gmail and inbox, but for some reason notifications have been working well for me the pass month with no issues.

Also what I and many others used to use as alternative was "cloudmagic" email app and sync notifications work well without any issues. Thank you.

I've had a problem with new mail not showing until I actually open the Gmail app as well. Seems like it comes and goes.

As of yesterday I have been getting all of my e-mail the moment it hits my Inbox. I hope this is permanent rather than just luck.
