From all the Blogs that I have read, the new Gmail update is supposed to show three options on the notification screen when you get an email, reply, archive and delete, but mine is only showing two, reply and archive on the notification screen. Am I missing something..?? Any help would be appreciated.

Swipe down form the notification and you will see those options.

When I swipe down, I see only two options, reply and archive, but from what I understand, delete is suppose to also be there and am missing that option..

How does this vary from what you've got? Perhaps you could post a screenshot and then we'd have something to go from.

He meant in the notification bar, not the actual app. I too only see options to archive or reply when I swipe down to expand the gmail entry in the notification bar.
Maybe this is Google's way of subtly saying they really want you to archive and never delete. Haha...

Now in the actual app, I like being able to swipe to delete/archive. I just wish they tweaked the options so that stuff in your inbox would say, archive if swiped left and delete if swiped right.

You'll only see 2.
Other than "reply", it depends what you assign the swipe to in the GMail settings - if you set swipe to delete you'll see "delete" / if you set swipe to archive you'll see "archive".

I am set in the Gmail app so swipe has no effect.(I end up swiping accidentally too often for this to be useful for me.) My notification bar has the 'archive' option. Is there any way to get this to be 'delete' while keeping swipe has no effect?

I also set swipe has no effect in gmail app because it is kinda annoying. And whenever i get mail when i expend notification i get replay and archive. Devs kinda missed on that one.

My notification window shows delete/reply option when there is only one new email. Multiple new emails stack together without delete/reply options. Am I missing something?
