Gnex memory partitioned?

Is the memory in the Galaxy Nexus partitioned to make it appear to have an sdcard installed? I ask because after downloading HBOGO the app insists that the sd card be installed for the app to continue. FYI I recently had to reinstall the OS after soft bricking during an attempt to upgrade to Jelly Bean. HBOGO worked prior to restoring the factory ROM. Currently running 4.0.4.

The OS creates a virtual mount that points to the sdcard folder at the root directory of the device.

So no, there is no actual partition.

Sounds like this has somehow been corrupted. Any idea how to recreate or repair the folder?

Redo what you did. Re-installing the stock OS will fix corruption as long as it is not hardware that is corrupt.

EDIT: There could be an issue with how Jelly Bean changed the /sdcard with the /storage/sdcard0. If so it is likely you just didn't wipe everything before going back to stock 4.0.4

Well, I was hoping to avoid re installing the stock OS, but had pretty much come to the same conclusion. I de a stock flash of the OS and now all seems to be well. That is except for the fact that I didn't move my ROM and data backups to my computer, and flashing wiped them out. Not a disaster, just an inconvenience. It took a while but I reinstalled all the apps thru Google Play. And my Contaqct list was restored complements of Gmail.
Word to the less informed, when the instructions say to back up your data and apps, make sure they are saved on other than your phone.
Thanks Zedorda, for your input. And yes it is very possible I didn't get everything wiped when preparing for the JB update.
