GNEX still worth it compared to S3?

The OP said they're on Verizon so prepaid and carrier choice probably aren't a concern.

One thing I will bring up is that if you guys are trying to keep unlimited data the Verizon GNex is much easier to find and cheaper through Craigslist or ebay unsubsidized.

Yes, they said they are currently on Verizon but did not indicate if they are staying on Verizon or on contract. They said:

I'm just throwing out all options out there. Tmobile is a carrier but also offers prepaid, for example.

We would be staying with Verizon (on contract). Ended up taking a chance on a Nexus since it was free (and I was able to keep my unlimited which was a bonus, used my daughter's upgrade and then swapped). Going to hold out for the wife so she can get an S3, although she has been tinkering with it and seems to like it. So we will see. So far no complaints. I can see the issue with the battery but I can keep it plugged in here at work so not a big deal.
