GNX 4.7" screen Vs New HTC 4.7" screens

This is more of a curiosity, but do the new crop of 4.7" phones coming out that still have hardware buttons give you the entire screens real estate even when they update to ICS vs the screen area we lose to the software buttons? Makes me miss hardware buttons.

Any phone with hardware soft keys will still use those soft keys after the upgrade to ICS and will not have the software buttons.

IMO, hardware keys only make the device larger than a device of the same screen size with soft keys. They disappear when you need them to anyway, so you get the full screen. With custom ROMs you have even more control of when they're visible.
