If I am using a sense rom (bamf 1.11) and switch to an aosp rom (liquid 3.2) will restoring the go launcher settings set up all the apps on the desktop or just save settings like font, screen rotation, etc. I've never tried restoring go launcher settings so I'm not sure what is saved and what isn't.

If not can I use my backup pro to save desktop (under system settings) then restore THAT to the aosp rom?

The only thing I don't like about go launcher is it takes about a second to redraw if you set screen preferences to auto rotate. Otherwise it lets you customize much more than any rom launcher I've tried.

Thanks!

It's pretty sweet on the stock phone too. I'll be watching this thread. Or you could just go for it and post your results.

I've done it, it works. First you need to let Google and/or TB restore all your apps. Then load Go Launcher and restore your backup. It should have your home screens all set up the way you had them before. You'll probably have to reload some of the widgets though as that doesn't always seem to work.

Widgets often don't load right. You'll just have to reapply them. Make sure all your apps are installed though

I'm sorry but do you mean from restoring go launcher settings or my backup pro?

the problem is, if you do a restore of go launcher before your apps, the shortcuts on your desktop will point to nowhere (since it can't find the apps) and won't point to the proper app even after you restore it. so that's why you want to restore all your apps first then restore your go launcher settings. so do as frellingfrakker says, restore apps first then go launcher settings.

I usually just restore golauncher from titanium backup along with all my other apps and never have to mess with re-adding widgets or apps to the homescreens.
